Hall of Fame 2022 Inductees Announced

We are excited to announce the Theta-Upsilon Alumni Hall of Fame 2022 Inductees:

  • Alan Higgins, Initiation Class 1967 (Founder)
  • James Lewis, Initiation Class 1974
  • David Ciochetty, Initiation Class 1978
Please join us in extending your congratulations and make plans to be present as they are honored at Hall of Fame Brunch in the Marcum Center Saturday, April 30th at our 55th Anniversary Weekend. Register here: 55th Weekend Registration.

KSTUAA would like to thank the members of this year's HOF Nomination Committee: George Duffield IC '67; Dave Vuicich IC '72; Rick Sippola IC '85; and Colony member and Alumni Relations Chair Luke .

New process used
This was the first year for a new process as we transition to inducting one alumnus each year (like as was done in 2021). KSTUAA Board set the number of inductees this year to be three and nominations were gathered by alumni through a Survey Monkey form in the Fall and that information was provided to the HOF Nomination Committee. The Nomination Committee spoke to the nominees and built out profiles that were then provided to the 22 HOF Inductees from 2000-2021 who voted for 3! It was a very strong field of nominees and you can expect to see those other nominees inducted in the coming years.

Support Our Scholarship Fund March 4-6:
SAJ Goal is $5,500

Alumni are asked to make a tax deductible donation to our Chapter’s scholarship account this March 4-6, 2022 during the Stephen Alonzo Jackson Weekend of Giving. 100% of the donation goes specifically to our Chapter’s fund inside the kappa Sigma Endowment Fund.

Last year 45 alumni stepped up big and donated $8,992 to the Chapter's Scholarship Fund. Our alumni were 3rd in Ohio, 16th in the country in amount donated with dozens of brothers donating for the first time and winning an extra $500 from the Endowment fund for being in the top 25.

This year, KSTUAA Board has set our goal at $5500 in honor of our 55th anniversary (we know we could do more but we also have the House improvement fund request active - see details below). Two KSTUAA Board members have pledged to create a match again this year to give us a boost. All donations to the Kappa Sigma Endowment Fund are recognized in our list of donors.

During March 4-6 please use  this link to register your donation.

Please be generous! AEKDB

KSTUAA is still needing donations to complete the Chapter House Refurbishment Match

The Colony (and soon to be Chapter on February 26) has begun using 406 E. Withrow as a Chapter House holding its weekly Chapter meeting thanks to the donations of 38 Alumni that made it possible to buy meeting chairs. The donations also paid for furniture used during Rush. To date we have raised $25,625  (still $6,375 short of $16,000 match goal of $32,000). The Chapter Advisory Council is now focusing on Phase 2 objectives that seeks to improve access and security.

See more details on December's post: Getting the House Ready for Use

Photos of the concepts and additional details can be found in the presentation posted here.
